Hey brother,
Something I see far too often is a man looking to a woman to give him what he hasn’t yet started building for himself.
Self-worth. Self-acceptance. And a life he actually enjoys.
Maybe you’re single and keep bending over backward for women you barely know.
Maybe you’re in a relationship and keep giving up what matters to you to keep her happy.
Or maybe you’ve been hurt and decided you’re done with women, even though you still want that connection.
Different situations. But underneath them, you may still be letting 'being wanted' determine how you feel about yourself.
You want love, sex, companionship, and connection.
But underneath that, there might be something you haven’t been honest about.
“If she wants me, I’m good enough.”
When her attention changes, so does how you feel about yourself.
So you start adjusting.
You say yes when you mean no.
Hide your opinions and desires because she might not like them.
Do favors, buy gifts, and give more than you want to—hoping it will earn you peace, affection, sex, or reassurance.
You’re so focused on getting her to choose you—and so afraid of being alone—that you stop asking whether you’re happy with how you’re living.
Eventually, resentment builds.
And you start reaching for more distractions.
More work. More drinking. More time scrolling. More porn.
Anything to avoid sitting with how unhappy you’ve become—and facing what needs to change.
You’ve spent so much time trying to get her that you haven’t been honest about whether you even want the relationship you’re in.
But leaving means facing loneliness, uncertainty, and starting over.
So you stay. Keep quiet. Hope something changes.
Months become years in a relationship where you feel increasingly disconnected, frustrated, and unlike yourself.
And when it finally ends, it’s easy to take that hurt straight into redpill bullshit that tells you women are the problem.
That can feel much easier than admitting how much you’ve hidden, tolerated, or given up.
You convince yourself you’re happier alone.
Maybe being single really is the right choice for you.
But get honest about whether you’re truly enjoying your freedom—or talking yourself out of the connection you still want because you’re afraid of getting hurt again.
Here’s the thing.
A woman is not responsible for making you feel like a fucking man.
You’ve got to take ownership of your masculinity and develop the qualities that help you feel strong, grounded, and capable.
Keep your word. Take care of your body. Say what you want. Set boundaries and follow through, even when someone doesn’t like them.
And have the courage to be honest about your fears and desires instead of hiding them to keep her approval.
Build trust in yourself through how you live, so her attention isn’t the only thing that makes you feel like you’ve got something to offer.
Recently, a good friend told me his relationship was draining him.
After we talked, he said, “Fuck it. I’m done looking to women for peace and love. I’m going to focus on my career.”
I told him there was more to it.
You can bury yourself in work and still avoid what’s happening within you.
I know plenty of men who spent decades building success and making fuck loads of money, yet still feel alone and unfulfilled.
A woman can love you. She cannot do your part of becoming a man you trust and respect.
A woman can share an incredible life with you. She cannot do your part and create an incredible life that you enjoy and love.
A woman can find you deeply attractive. But she can’t do your part in taking care of yourself—training, eating well, grooming, and putting some effort into how you dress and carry yourself.
Do those things because you respect yourself and want to feel good in your own skin, rather than waiting for her attention to give you a reason.
Build friendships with men and women you can be real with.
Create new experiences you look forward to.
Keep your word to yourself.
Accept your desires, fears, and need for connection without hiding them to earn approval.
Here’s an exercise I want you to try.
Write down everything you’ve been expecting women to give you.
Get specific about what “love” means.
Affection and mutual care?
Or proof that you’re finally worth something?
If you’ve been expecting her to make you happy and give you a life you actually enjoy, man the fuck up and start building that life for yourself.
If you’ve been seeking her acceptance and approval while hiding what you truly want, get brutally honest with yourself and start telling the truth.
If you’re expecting her to make you feel whole, start accepting the parts of yourself you’ve spent years hiding, suppressing, or trying to change just so someone else will want you.
This is the type of deeper work required.
So let me ask you: What have you been expecting a woman to give you that you need to start building for yourself?
If you want my help working through this process, [Book a Private Session with me here].
Want her. Love her. Enjoy her.
Stop expecting a woman to do your part. Man the fuck up and take ownership of who you are and the life you’re creating.
